Custom Code privacy

What the plugin sends, to whom, and what we keep. Updated 12 October 2026.

Without any of the services below

The free plugin runs entirely on your site. Snippets, their versions and the activity log are stored in your own database and uploads folder. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you use the AI features, Custom Code Pro or the cloud library.

Used when you click an AI button with "WALoops AI credits" chosen in Settings → AI.
Sent: the text of your request, the snippet code you ask about, the error message (for fixes), your site address, your WordPress, PHP, WooCommerce and theme names and versions, and the names of active page builders and major plugins, so the code fits your site.
Site check: before the first request, our server fetches a one-time code from your site's /wp-json/custom-code/v1/ai-proof address to confirm the site is real, then gives it a token. We store the domain, a hash of the token, the plugin and WordPress versions and the IP address that registered.
Stored per request: the task (write, explain, fix), the model, token counts and cost, for your monthly allowance. Prompts, code and answers are not stored.
The request is passed to Anthropic (Claude models) to produce the answer. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.

With your own key, requests go straight from your site to api.anthropic.com. WALoops receives nothing. The key is stored in your site's database.

When you buy: your email and name, the plan and the Razorpay payment and subscription IDs. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see card details.
When a site activates the license and twice a day after: the site address, the plugin, WordPress and WooCommerce versions. Updates are checked the same way.

When you click "Save to cloud library", that snippet (its code, location, conditions and options) and the site it came from are stored on app.waloops.com under your license, so your other sites can add it. Remove a snippet from the Cloud library screen to delete it from our server.

Switch AI off by not using it, or use your own key. Remove a license from a site on its Pro license screen.
To delete your AI usage records, license data or cloud snippets, email [email protected] from the address you bought with.
