WhatsApp for Hospitable hosts and property managers

Hospitable is widely used by Airbnb and Vrbo hosts who want their guest communication automated from the first booking. Hospitable already automates messages inside Airbnb. WALoops adds WhatsApp from your own business number, which is useful for direct bookings, for guests who prefer WhatsApp, and for staying in touch after the stay.

Messages go out from your own WhatsApp Business number on Meta's official API, so guests see your name and can reply straight away. For the bigger picture, read our guide to WhatsApp guest messaging for vacation rentals.

What you can automate from Hospitable

event_available

Booking confirmations

The moment a reservation is created in Hospitable, the guest gets a WhatsApp confirmation with the property, dates, nights, guest count and total.

Change and cancellation alerts

When a reservation is updated, use its status as a condition to send the right message: new dates confirmed, or a cancellation notice.

notifications_active

Alerts for your team or owners

Send a WhatsApp alert to a cleaner, co-host or property owner for each new booking, with the dates and property, so nobody has to check the calendar.

Replies, inbox and AI answers

Guest replies arrive in a shared team inbox. On Premium, an AI agent answers questions like WiFi, parking or check-in time from your own house rules.

How to connect Hospitable to WhatsApp

First connect your WhatsApp number to WALoops (how to get the WhatsApp Business API). Then:

  1. 1

    Create a Personal Access Token

In Hospitable, go to Account → API Access → Personal Access Tokens and create a token. It is shown only once.

  2. 2

    Paste it into WALoops

Under Automation → Apps → Hospitable, enter the token and save.

  3. 3

    Add the webhook in Hospitable

Copy the webhook URL WALoops shows and add it in Hospitable under Apps → Webhooks, selecting Reservations. Hospitable only lets you create webhooks from its own screens. Then click Activate.

Good to know: Each time Hospitable notifies WALoops, WALoops fetches the full reservation with the guest, property and pricing, so your messages always use the latest details.

Reservation details you can use

Every Hospitable reservation event carries these fields. Put them in a WhatsApp template, or use them as conditions, for example "only when the channel is Direct" or "only when the status is cancelled".

Example messages

Meta approves each message as a template first. Confirmations and cancellations count as utility messages, the cheaper category.

Frequently asked questions

Will WALoops message guests inside Airbnb? expand_more
No. WALoops sends WhatsApp messages to the guest's phone number. Messages inside Airbnb's own inbox stay with Hospitable.
Why add the webhook manually? expand_more
Hospitable creates webhooks only from its own Apps → Webhooks screen, so the URL is pasted there once. Everything after that is automatic.
How do I connect Hospitable to WhatsApp? expand_more
Connect your WhatsApp number to WALoops, then add your Hospitable API credentials under Automation → Apps → Hospitable and click Activate. From then on every reservation event can send a WhatsApp message you choose.
Will guests from Airbnb and Booking.com get the messages? expand_more
Yes, as long as Hospitable has the guest's real phone number. Some channels share only a masked number or none at all; WALoops can't message a guest without one.
Do guests need to opt in? expand_more
WhatsApp requires that people agree to hear from your business. Tell guests at booking that you'll send their confirmation and stay details on WhatsApp, for example in your booking terms or confirmation email.
How much does it cost? expand_more
Integrations are included from the Starter plan ($9.99/month, 7-day free trial); the AI agent is on Premium. Meta charges per message at its own rate, which depends on the guest's country, and WALoops passes it on without markup.
Can I connect more than one Hospitable account? expand_more
Yes. You can add several Hospitable accounts and give each its own name, then build different automations for each.
